The incident occurred when mourners were returning from a funeral of a woman in the Kharkhosha area of the agency, an official of the political administration said.

The dead and injured were shifted to Kohat and Kalaya hospitals. Four persons were killed at the same spot a month ago after armed persons launched an attack during a jirga proceeding.
