At the official launch of the poster, actor Shaan Shahid expressed his thoughts regarding the project. “We are expecting a release next year. We want the new Indian government to start thinking about cultural policies as this film will be the first collaboration between India and Pakistan,” said Shaan. He further requested the Indian cultural ministry to officially establish Arth 2 as the first Indo-Pak venture, allow its release in India and make it a cultural landmark for peace. “It is high time we start giving love, care and respect to each other’s work by owning it,” he added.
Shaan also thanked Indian filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt for all his support. “A good human and true visionary as his encouragement for the first Indo-Pak collaboration is clearly visible,” he said.
The music and promo launch of the film will be held in August, 2014, in Pakistan. The film is starring, Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed as Kalbhoshan, Humaima Malick and Uzma Hasan. It is expected to release in 2015.

Some questions for Shaan:
The producer, director, actors, scriptwriters of this movie are all Pakistani- so ow is this is aN Indo-Pak joint venture?
Even if this movie was a joint venture, by that loic surely Zinda Bhaag who had an Indian director and an I dian actor are also joint collaborations?
Has Indian government banned any movies comin from Pakistan? Please list names. If you are unable o find distributors for a movie - that is not the same as banning a movie. Indian culture ministry has not sopped Pakistani talent from seeking a market in India.
It is okay for you to seek the Indian market for your movie but fellow Pakistanis who seek the Indian market for their talent are to be criticized?
Another Pakistani hypocrite at his best. The same guy was bashing another Pakistani actor for being "unpatriotic" as he was working in Indian movies. Now this Mr. Two timing have balls to call upon Indian government to allow his movie in India. Pathetic.
Bonnie, you mean Waan Deem?
Not a very intriguing poster, falls a bit flat.
Shaan pretends as if he was never part of those ugly violent flicks. He has the worst of reputation a,ong old industry people for being arrogant and extremely disrespectful. And i couldnt believe whenhe recently compared him getting rights of Arth2 as 'a validation of two nation theory'. Unbelievable.....
Shaan acts like he is the voice of Pakistani film media the same actor who sat comfortably as 'his" Lollywood thrashed out mega filth fill vulgar films with no artistic value, He never offered a helping hand to the younger generation in establishing a respectable school for all aspects of film making. He & his cronies surrounded themselves with seedy characters that made it dangerous and sleazy for young respectable men & women want to enter into this profession. It was the revival of Pakistan film that gave him the opportunity it was young talented men and women that sacrificed the hazards of the Lollywood mafia that started releasing films to an industry that was in the last stages of dying and Shaan is jumping on the bandwagon to take all the credit.?
Has he stoped copying Van Dam?
So much for Shan's OVER THE TOP ...so called "Patriotic" stance against Actors who work in India from Pakistan. Producing and directing borrowed Indian content-!!!!?? Is'nt there enough great writers and creative brains in Pakistan that you had to re hash a 20 year old Indian film and use its name too. And on top of that you have the gall to attack those actors who go and work in India. Such double standards.Or you were just angry because you feel insecure of younger actors like Ali Zafer's success !
first of all how on earth is this film 'first india pakistan collaboration' there have been many many examples before this film. and secondly when in the history has indian government banned or 'not allowed' a pakistani film. Bhai Jaan its free market economy: make a good film, it will find a good release in India easily. grow up. And its quite rich of Shan to talk about india Pakistan while he was talking about two nation theory at a recent award ceremony.
