Harmony: Interfaith walk held

People from various faiths on Tuesday participated in a “Peace Walk” organised to promote and create awareness about interfaith harmony. A large number of Muslims, Christians and Hindus participated in the walk, which started from Saint Joseph’s Cathedral and culminated at Christ Church in Lalkurti.


The walk was organised by Caritas Pakistan Islamabad- Rawalpindi (CPIR), a humanitarian organisation and social arm of the Catholic Church working under the Catholic’s Bishop Conference of Pakistan for poor communities.


Participants of the rally were displaying placards inscribed with peace slogans and the importance of promotion of interfaith harmony and tolerance for peaceful coexistence. At the end, Caritas Pakistan Islamabad- Rawalpindi Executive Secretary Victor Shad thanked Father Rizwan and the participants for their valuable time and said, “We all should work together for the promotion of peace and starts efforts from our homes and streets”.
