Illegal possession : Over a 100kgs of explosives seized

ABBOTTABAD: The City police seized 123 kilogrammes (kg) of explosives on Friday and arrested the accused. SHO Raja Ashiq said they searched a car bound for Sherwan and recovered 123kgs of explosive material and 1,400 detonators from hidden compartments in the vehicle. Aqib Shah and Sameen Khan were arrested for being in possession of the contraband. According to the SHO, these types of explosives are also used in mining but the accused had no permission or license to carry it.
