PESHAWAR:

In a second kidnapping incident this week, an Afghan doctor was abducted from Phase IV Hayatabad by four armed men.

Just two days prior, an Afghan pediatrician disappeared from Board Bazaar – except an FIR was not lodged in the latter case because police wrote it off as a ‘disappearance.’ Like other wealthy individuals, Afghan doctors and traders are believed to be prime targets for kidnappers and extortionists.

Local police said that the latest victim, Haji Daud Jan, had locked himself in his car after armed men intercepted him. The gunmen, however, broke the car window before hauling the doctor into their own vehicle. Police said Jan’s car was later found abandoned by the roadside in Phase IV, Hayatabad.

Does he has a valid working rights visa in the first place? If not, then his stay was illegal and so was his kidnapping.

I think this is the time that these Afghans come back to their country and serve their own people and contribute to the economy of their country not a country that always regard them as burden!
