In solidarity: PMA doctors protest assault on colleague

Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) leaders announced that they will stage a sit-in at Pakistan Chowk today to protest till the accused involved in attacking their colleague are arrested. They also demanded for a transfer of SSP Khalid Mustafa Korai.


Meanwhile, the doctors of  PMA- Larkana chapter, Chandka Teachers Association and paramedics boycotted OPD duties in Chandka Medical College Hospital, due to which the OPDs of Shaikh Zaid Hospital for Women, Urology-Nephrology Department, main OPD at Civil Hospital and Paeds Medicine remained closed. Only emergency patients were treated.

The rally started from Paeds Surgery Block and terminated at Larkana Press Club. The speakers demanded protection for doctors and better policing. Dr Shah Baig Chandio said that despite the FIR against the attack on a doctor, the Larkana police have done nothing to book the offenders.
