India always starts cross-border shootings: DG Rangers

Border security forces of both countries will be discussing issues of unprovoked firing, illegal border crossing etc.

Director General of Punjab Rangers Major General Yaqoob Khan blamed India on Tuesday for starting unprovoked border firing fueling tensions between the border security forces of both countries.

The Director General was briefing the media at the Wagah border before a meeting with the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF)  delegation, a day after the Indian military accused Pakistan of a "major ceasefire violation, alleging that Pakistani troops opened fire across the de facto border dividing Kashmir killing one Indian soldier.

The Indian delegation, led by Inspector General Raman Shrivastav arrived on Tuesday morning for the meeting.

The Director General said issues such as illegal border crossing, smuggling, violation of border rules and unprovoked firing by the Indian forces at Sialkot will be raised in the meeting.

Khan said the issue of Pakistani prisoners languishing in Indian jails will also be discussed in the meeting that takes place every three months.

Saad kiani | 13 years ago | Reply by all means we have a lot of fight..and if the indians have any doubt they can always try and test it...just waiting wen india goes ahead with its cold start doctrine for aggression .... atleast then the back stabbers may come forward
