KARACHI: Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) top officials are hopeful of getting the hosting rights for the 2015 6-Red World Championship as they prepare to submit the bid in a meeting of the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF).

PBSA president Alamgir Sheikh and secretary Munawwar Sheikh are in Latvia in order to submit an official bid.

“We want to submit the bid for hosting 2015 6-Red World Cup tonight,” Munawwar told The Express Tribune.

“I, along with Alamgir, am really hopeful that we can come out successful with this bid. We plan to bid for the 2014 event as well, as you never know which bid can be successful.”

Munawwar further appreciated cueists Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Sajjad, Imran Shehzad and Shahid Aftab for cementing their places in last-64 phase of the on-going IBSF World Championships.
