QUETTA: Balochistan government has declared that no polio case has been detected during the past 12 months on the occasion of the “world polio day’ on Thursday. Balochistan CM Abdul Malik Baloch made an appeal to the people of Balochistan to cooperate with the volunteers during the anti-polio drive. However, the provincial health minister said he is not satisfied with the anti-polio drive in the province. “The health department is paying special attention to Awaran and Kech districts,” he told reporters. “Government has chalked out a new strategy to make its anti-polio drive more effective under which a child needs to show the card about administering polio vaccine so that he or she can get admission at state-run and private schools,” he told the reporters during the news conference.
