A 16-year-old boy was drugged and sexually assaulted allegedly by a friend on Saturday night. He was found tied to a charpoy lying in an empty plot on Sunday.
The boy was taken to a hospital. A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s uncle. The nominated suspect has been arrested and according to Kamalia police, the suspect has confessed to the crime.
Police said Rashid*, a Naya Bazaar Colony resident, had gone out with a friend, Salman*. Police said Salman had drugged Rashid and raped him.
Rashid’s uncle told the police that Rashid’s father had died a few years ago and he had been living with him (uncle) since then.
He said on Saturday night Salman had visited his house and taken Rashid with him. He said they had both gone for a walk.
When Rashid did not return, he said, he went looking for him.
He said he informed the police a few hours later. They looked for him in the area.
On Sunday morning, he said, the police were informed about a boy tied to a charpoy lying in an empty plot in Roshan Shah Colony. The place was raided and Rashid was found lying unconscious.
Police said they had also arrested Salman who was trying to flee the scene.
Rashid was taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital, where doctors treating him said that his condition was critical.
He was later sent to Allied Hospital in Faisalabad. Doctors said they had found traces of alcohol in his blood. They said he had been raped several times. There were also bruises on the body suggesting that the boy had been beaten.
Kamalia station house officer said that the suspect had told them that he had given Rashid drugged liquor. When he passed out, he tied him to the charpoy and raped him.
The station house officer told The Express Tribune that the suspect would be produced before the area magistrate on Monday.
Four-year-old molested
In Sialkot, a four-year-old was sexually assaulted, police said.
Muradpur police said that the child, a resident of Chati Shaikhan area, had gone to the mosque, adjacent to his house, looking for his father.
There, they said, a neighbour, nominated in the FIR, took the child to a deserted place and raped him.
He had fled abandoning the child who had fainted. Some passers-by found the child and took him to Government Sardar Begum Hospital, where doctors treating him said that he had been raped.
Police said the suspect had fled his home.
The station house officer said that his house had been raided and found locked. A police team was looking for him, he said.

@Raj - USA: Sharia ask for evidence in older time since there was no DNA ,finger prints or any advance system to detect whether a rape has been committed or not, Because Rapist in Islam will get death penalty therefore it is need to make sure you don't give punishment to wrong person regardless male or female. Your Question about homosexuality they will also get death penalty.
Since Death its consider very hard punishment and one can lose life and you raised 4 witness ordered it is in case of adultery. If a man or woman establish illicit relations then without 4 witness there cannot be punishment because in case if someone puts wrong blame just to settle personnel score (Like you do in case of Pakistan) they can prosecuted.
Unlike in India where Sadu in name of Hinduism rape woman and make them pregnant, by telling the husband Hindu Gods have gifted them children and the women over there cannot protest because there is a win win situation for sadu and husband. And if she tries to protest Hindu religion does not cover that aspect for her and same goes to Indian constitutional law, no woman protection is guaranteed and even if there is law it never become active in life time. For Sadhu Rapping the woman openly. For Reference please search youtube with Indian Sadhu Rapping woman there is NATGEO documentary you can find it.
@Pakistani: Pakistanis do not understand Islam.
They can not be trusted with Shariah.
They will just use their version of "shariah" to attack minorities and women. Does anyone know how many kids are abused in madrassa's and by the local mullas?
Just look how murderers are let off by people (mis)using "Shariah".
Just enforce existing laws. Train the police. Make everyone equal under the eyes of the law.
Some comments here on Sharia law. As I understand, if a girl is raped 4 male eye witnesses is required to award a punishment. If a boy is raped, is it still 4 male eye witnesses or does it change to 4 female eye witnesses? Does the sex of the victim count or is it always the males that count. Is it still the same if a girl rapes another girl?
Does sharia say anything on homosexuality (both gays and lesbians) at all? I don't know.
@Nabil,
You crack me up bro when you list DNA tests as lesser evidence.
4 witness else nothing
This is a common myth about Islamic criminal law. Rather, the four witness requirement applies only to the prescribed hadd punishment (which in the case of a married person could be death and for the non-married, 100 lashes). [Marghinani, Hidaya] This punishment is only applied in very rare cases, as is clear, and is meant to be a social deterrent, above all.
As the classical and contemporary jurists (such as Mufti Taqi Usmani) have made clear, a rapist can be convicted on lesser evidence (including scientific evidence, such as DNA tests and medical reports) for discretionary punishments. These discretionary punishments are left up to the legal system to determine.
However, it is a myth to say that Islam would in any way condone rape, or allow a rapist to go free for this terrible crime against an innocent human being and against society.
no such thing can happen in the land of pure...
Faisalabad - Wake up. What's happening. rape & sodomy is a daily ritual in city of rana Sana Ullah, Abid Sher Ali & Iftikhar Chaudhry.
@Pakistani: and what if some innocent are hanged on the name of shariah. Don't you know those false elegations of blasphemy by some imam? what if something happens like that every now and than.. i think pakistani mind is becoming criminal day by day.. so a better solution is law and order and average pakistani would need to abide by it. the problems seems to be simple, Pakistani people do not want to change.. the end
If we have Shariah we have more rather than less sex crimes. As someone who grew up in Pakistan and moved abroad I can tell Pakistan's repressive culture leads to perverted thinking.
@ Sayyed @ MA where do you get this shariah? The case does not need 4 witnesses. They are only required for the complaint of non-involved observer, not if they are raised by victims.
@Hooah: You mean "the" justice that shall take years to take it course? and worst punishment is 25 years in jail? Ask the victims what they want. Moreover, the 'friend' rapist shall go scott free for being juvenile. What a ridiculous and b.s. 'justice'. @The Only Normal Person Here: Sir have you ever looked into the educated and established and developed societies in West? Do I need to quote a few examples of deeds of highly accomplished people who were eventually caught? @RM, Sayyed Mehdi, MA Interpretations of scholars is different. However, punishment is the same i.e. stonning to death. There can be no punishment better than that. Accusation of adultery and accusation of rape are two different things. Anyways, when the perp accepted his crime, he should get punishment according to Shariah. How about that? Or, are you still among enlightened and moderated breed?
The culrpit of this case and others (if caught) should be handed over to a team of psychologists, before being punished, to learn what goes through their minds. Is it poverty, helplessness, outright criminality or the omnipresentsensuality projected by media and h/bollywood flicks?
@MA @RA
I am pretty sure the guys who commented above you are talking about the punishment and not the method to prove the crime. Islam does allow for forensic evidence. Rape kits, DNA tests all can prove the crime. Islam is neither pre-historic nor as radical as most of the "liberals" would have us assume.
ET, please learn the difference between rape and molestation. The four year old was raped, not just sexually assaulted, not just molested, but raped. Don't demean what the victim went through by mislabeling it. Misinformation helps no one.
@Abdullah: @Um@ir: @Pakistani: how do you define punishment according to "shariah"? What happened to this boy is horrible but would he not require 4 witnesses to prove his case?
@Pakistani @Abdullah Speaking of Shariah, were there four male witnesses to the crime?
Shariah? Or the law we follow where one has to have four witnesses to prove rape...
No doubt about that. Sharia is the only solution. Punish them according to Allah`s (swt) law and they will not dare to do it again, Innshallah.
Justice - The only solution!
@Pakistani:
Couldn't agree more with you. Just punish one person according to shariah and no one will dare do it again.
Shariah - The only solution!
