Raising voices: Doctors protest against kidnapping

The protest arranged by Pakistan Medical Association, was led by President Dr Sultan Tareen.

QUETTA: Doctors staged a protest demonstration outside of the Quetta Press Club on Thursday demanding immediate and safe recovery of kidnapped doctor Abdul Manaf Tareen who had been kidnapped about a month ago. The protest arranged by Pakistan Medical Association, was led by President Dr Sultan Tareen. The protestors pointed out that as many as 21 doctors have so far been kidnapped during the past couple of years, and 14 were  killed in targeted attacks. “The government has failed to break up the chain of kidnappers,” said protesting doctors. Doctors have walked off the OPDs at state run hospital for 21 consecutive days to register their protest against the kidnapping.

sir , the militants are in dire need of Doctors and medical services hence this step of kidnapping . This will be one more demand from the Militants/ TTP in the ensuing peace talk with APC
