KARACHI:

Islamia College’s vice-principal Professor Ghulam Nabi Wassan was shot inside the college on Thursday.

The professor was about to enter his car when a man approached him and opened fire, said Jamshed Town police officials. He suffered a bullet to his chest and was immediately shifted to a hospital, where doctors termed his condition stable.

Ruling out the possibility of mugging, SHO Humayon Ahmed said the professor had survived three attacks earlier. “Initial investigation suggests a student wing of the college might be involved in this incident.”
