Refusing to return: Woman shot, injured by husband

Police says they are looking for the suspects.

JOHARABAD: A woman was shot on Monday allegedly by her husband and father-in-law for not returning to her husband. She was taken to a hospital, where doctors treating her said that she would likely survive. Police said Riffat Batool, a resident of Joiya, had married Muhammad Imran a few years ago. They said she had had an argument with her husband four months ago and left home and started living with her parents. On Monday, police said, Imran and his father visited her to ask her to return, but she refused. Imran and his father then shot her and fled. Police said they were looking for the suspects.
