Inspector General of Police Punjab Khan Baig was the chief guest at the ceremony which was also attended by senior police officers, parents and relatives of the ASIs and other officials. Baig said the new revised training course for police officers will help improve their professional capabilities and change the old police culture.

At the ceremony, Sihala Police College Commandant DIG Khalid Mehmood said the college imparts training to officers not only from Punjab, but also from AJK, Islamabad, Pakistan Railways, G-B, PIA, Army and Air Force. Mehmood said the security of the college needs attention of the authorities, therefore, apart from the provision of 300 security personnel, a modern security system should be installed at the college.
