Style icon: Deepika Padukone

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone looks as chic and fashionable as ever during promotional events for an upcoming film.

Famous for that gorgeous smile and toned body, Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone is our style icon for this week. We couldn’t help it — she’s been looking as chic and fashionable as ever during the promotional events for her upcoming film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Our favourite dress so far is a skinny black dress she wore.

Deepika’s style statement is simple: she wears what she can carry and what suits her body type. And clearly, her mantra is ‘I’m sexy and I know it’!

At YJHD events, Deepika has mostly been spotted in light and bright colours, floral prints and of course tiny shorts and dresses which we feel suit her long legs the best.

In an interview with Bollypage, Deepika said that she likes to splurge on shoes. Seen mostly in traditional sandals and heels, this Bollywood bombshell sure knows how to wear the right shoes with her outfits. While she’s not big on accessories, she does wear the occasional watch since she’s the brand ambassador for Tissot.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani co-starring Ranbir Kapoor hits theaters on May 31.
