LAHORE:

The Lahore High Court on Thursday took notice of a report about the rape of a child and directed a district and sessions judge to investigate the matter.

Shamim Bibi, mother of the 14-year-old girl, has submitted an application which said that eight months ago her uncle had tried to rape her daughter but she managed to escape. Shamim Bibi said her daughter went to her aunt’s husband, a dismissed sub-inspector, for shelter but he detained the girl and raped her for eight months. The police registered a case against the two suspects.
