4 cars, 20 motorcycles reported stolen in 36 robberies in Faisalabad

Armed robbers entered a house in Shahbaz Town and took away cash, jewellery, mobile phones and a car.

More than three dozens robberies and thefts were reported on Saturday and Sunday. The loot included four cars, 20 motorcycles and mobile phones.


The robbers injured two people on resistance.

Police said armed robbers entered the house of Khurram Sultan at Shahbaz Town and took away cash, jewellery, mobile phones and a car.

Rs50,000 and two mobile phones were taken from the house of Dr Rustam near Gattwala Park.

Four robbers forcibly entered the house of Muhammad Yar at Chak 118-JB and took away cash, jewellery and a motorcycle.

A truck carrying buffaloes was snatched from Shabbir Ahmad in the D-Type Colony police area.

Thieves stole batteries from Muhammad Qamar’s shop at Liaquat Chowk and Nadeem Akhtar’s shop at Officers’ Colony.

Motorcycles were snatched from several people, including Abdul Waheed at Chak 215-RB, Ehsanul Haq at Mohallah Ahmadabad, Sajid at Chak 117-JB and Ahmad Raza near the Commissioner’s Office.

The robbers looted Zaheer Abbas near Chak 59-JB and Khalilur Rahman near Shabman cinema.

Armed men took a car from Shafiq from Kutchehry Bazaar, one from Imran from Canal Road and another from Azhar Hussain from near the Technical High School.

Motorbikes were snatched from Mohsin near DHQ Hospital, from Hafiz Ishaq and Sameeullah near Agriculture University, from Muhammad Ahmad near Iqbal Stadium, from Adnan near Kutchehry Bazaar, from Umar near Bagh-i-Jinnah and from Waqar Azeem near Saleemi Chowk.

Rs200,000 and jewellery were taken away from the house of Bilal at Saeed Colony No 2, jewellery and cash worth Rs1.5 million from a seminary in Elahiabad, four computers from the school of Dr Shafiq at Rafiq Colony and 40 boxes of mobile phones from Munawwar’s shop on Kashmir Road.
