ISLAMABAD: Employees of the Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE) continued their protest on Tuesday against ‘discrimination’ in salaries and allowances among federal government employees. Protesters demanded that the recently announced 20 per cent raise for secretariat employees should be extended to them. They marched from the main office of DGSE in Sector G-6/4 and moved towards Faisal Avenue near Zero Point and blocked both roads for nearly three hours, disrupting traffic. Maqsood, who was leading the protest, said if secretariat employees were given a 20% raise in salaries, then why not employees of attached departments.
