A senior investigative police official while talking to The Express Tribune said that the check-post had come under attack from militants in the evening. Police retaliated and were exchanging fire with militants.
The official added that just as a police party returned to the check-post from a patrol along the boundary of the troubled Darra Adam Khel area in FR Kohat, militants opened fire at them.
However, none of the personnel sustained injuries.
The official added that police personnel were retaliating to the attack and have sought assistance from the Nowshera Kalan police station. The official added that he had accompanied a heavy contingent of police to the area.
“Heavy exchange of gunfire from both the sides continue for 30 minutes.”
Till the filing of the report, the militants had been pushed back and the police had managed to launch a search operation in the area.

@Behari Kebab: Not only these terrorists, but also most of the retired generals are agents of India. Look at the way they are bringing out truth to embarrass Pakistan every day. That these terrorists are agents of India also confirms that the ummah has been mummified for ever.
In response to each such attack, Pakistan should retaliate against India, whose agents these terrorists ultimately are.
Just goes to show how easily these anti state cowards can be pushed back. They are fine to attack civilians, women, children but when it comes to real resistance, they run back totheir foreign masters. Good job by the security forces to beath back these foreign paid agents!
We applaud the courage shown by the Pakistani forces against these terrorists. The terrorists need to be made aware that they cannot attack at will and get away with their indiscriminate killings. The quick response shown by the Pakistani forces demonstrates that we are ready to counter insurgency and protect the region. We share a common stance in regards to our peace objectives. We hope to continue our cooperation for the betterment of the region.
