The bloodied bodies of a couple and their two children were found in a Boat Basin, Clifton flat by the police late Wednesday night.
Khalid Haroon, his wife Anila, daughter Ammara Marium and son Danish Sheraz were murdered in their ground floor flat in Chapal Beach Luxury Apartments in Clifton.
The bodies were in their beds with the children in their own bedroom. They were killed by multiple hits to the head and neck with a sharp-edged tool.
The police suspect the family was given something to knock them out. A box of sweets was found in the house. The murderers covered the bodies before they left.
The staff of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre performed the autopsies.
Investigations revealed that Haroon rented the flat a few months ago.
The police found out about the murders from a close relative as no one was answering the door to the family’s apartment.
