PESHAWAR:

Up to a hundred protesters participated in a motorcycle rally of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) held on Friday to oppose the decision of granting India the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status.

The rally convened after Friday prayers at JuD’s office at Fawara Chowk and marched towards the Peshawar Press Club.

Provincial leaders of JuD and Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) also addressed participants, who held placards inscribed with anti-India slogans and criticised the government’s decision to enhance bilateral trade with the neighbouring country.

Leaders of the two groups lashed out at the government, saying it needs to solve the Kashmir issue first.

They accused India of blocking water supply to Pakistan by building dams and said the government was not keen on resolving important matters.
