The District Election Commission has released a list of all polling stations in NA-48 Islamabad-I and NA-49 Islamabad-II for the upcoming elections.
According to a press release issued by the district election commissioner on Monday, the constituencies have been drawn by a committee constituted for the purpose under the Islamabad Chairmanship of District Election Commissioner Chaudhry Aleem Shahab, which also included the city magistrate, and Islamabad’s deputy director of education.
Drafts of all polling stations in the capital’s two constituencies have been displayed in the offices of all of Islamabad’s union councils and in the office of the District Election Commissioner.
The purpose, the press release said, is to allow the public to lodge any objections or suggestions, for which fifteen days have been granted.
“Any voter can file an objection with the district election commissioner.” Complaints can be registered by telephone on 9261003 or faxed to 9263375.
The District Election Commission has also increased the numbers of polling stations in NA-48 and NA-49 to make it convenient for voters to cast vote.
January 1, 2013 will be the last day to file any complaint or suggestion.
