With the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status likely to be granted to India and phasing out of the negative list from 1,209 items in near future, the bilateral trade between India and Pakistan is expected to touch $6 billion in next three years from the present level of around $2 billion.
This was stated by Rafeeque Ahmed, president of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) who is going to lead a 65-member delegation of Indian business community to Karachi from December 21-23.
Ahmed said FIEO in association with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is organising India Expo at the Karachi Expo Centre to provide a platform to businessmen of two sides to explore business opportunities, a press release of FIEO on Saturday said.
He informed that during the India Expo, Indian companies will be exhibiting their goods from diverse sectors like diesel engines, generators, auto parts, hand tools, roofing sheets, solar energy and electrical products, plants and equipments for industrial gases, textile, fashion jewellery, footwear, spices, dairy and food, leather chemicals and pharmaceuticals, stationery, PVC, holograms etc.
He was hopeful that this will be a good opportunity for the business communities of both countries to have dialogue with each other and find synergies as the two big neighbours of South Asia are coming closer.

@cut: Why don't you confess it at least now that India is interfering in Balochistan's matters and is providing every easily and possible available support to the Baloch tribes who want to separate Balochistan from Pakistan??????
Trade is the only solution to India Pak peace.
Both countries cannot afford wars as it would solve nothing at all.
At least trade would help create jobs hopefully on both sides.
@cut XD..you made my day with your comment. Thank you so much

I don’t agree with you here because Indian(Pakistani) people are never mentally prepared to accept this realty that Kashmir(Balochistan) is a disputed territory and not the integral part of India(Pakistan) and on the other side Pakistani(Indian) people and leaders both strongly and truly believe that Kashmir(Balochistan) is a disputed territory and not the integral part of India.(Pakistan)This is why on Kashmir(Balochistan) issue mental approach of Indian and Pakistani nation can never be changed because both nations’ mental approach on Kashmir (Balochistan)issue is absolutely and entirely opposite and different and there can never be comradeship between Pakistani and Indian people unless first Kashmir (Balochistan)issue is resolved on top priority basis as soon as possible because already 65 years have been wasted on the useless and non-result-oriented peace talks on Kashmir(Balochistan) issue between Pakistan and India….
This time Balochistan replaces East Pakistan, every thing remains same.............
Whether there is MFN or not, given the history and bad experience, India should end all relations with Pakistan.
"@Akhtar:First a working relationship is needed between India and Pakistan. This is only possible through people-to-people contact and burgeoning trade ties. The issues of Kashmir, Sir Creek and Siachen can be focused on after this understanding has been established." wht about the balance of trade between the two countries?
Would any one like to explain that where longstanding, burning and core "Kashmir" issue shall take place between the visa's,trade's,business' and traveling's agreements between Pakistan-India and MFN and status given to India or Kashmir issue shall be thrown in the dust bin and removed in the love of the agreements mentioned above and MFN status?Because India only is emphasizing on the agreements mentioned above and as usual Kashmir issue is being delayed by pretending the continuing of the peace talks and negotiations by the both governments' leaders...
