Hottie of the week: Zayn Malik

Who is he?

Nineteen-year-old, Zayn Javvad Malik is one of the members of the four-piece band One Direction. This half-Brit, half Pakistani bloke got his first break in the seventh season of “The X Factor”. He bagged the respect of all three judges — Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh — with his performance on “Let Me Love You” by Mario.

Why he is droolworthy

He is the sweet, talented boy you want to bump into on your first day of college. He has the potential to be that frat boy with a heart who every chick wants to go to the prom with.

We want to put his interview on replay because, let’s all admit it, no woman can resist a man with an English accent. Actors like Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are seasons past their shelf life but we are still holding on to them because of that dreamy accent. Zayn’s wolfy eyebrows and his Jimmy Neutron hair are proof enough that he will never disappoint us as far as making a fashion statement is concerned. Apparently it’s this Paki-Brit’s hairdo that makes Miley Cyrus go ga ga for him. Miley totally eyes Zayn and doesn’t mind cyber-flirting with him. “We’ve spent an hour stalking Zayn from @onedirection,” she tweeted.  Zayn himself is open to public displays of attraction and mocks those who seem too guarded about it. “Clearly some people are not very familiar with flirting :),” he tweets.

But Zayn is not just eye candy and wins extra brownie points for showing off his love of reading on Twtitter.

What you didn’t know about him

He got nervous at his auditions for “The X Factor” and decided to remain backstage, effectively running the risk of elimination. Simon Cowell noticed Zayn’s absence, went backstage and convinced him to return. We can’t be more proud of this goodlooking desi-gora mix for impressing music mogul Simon. Everytime he sings “You Know You’re Beautiful” we believe it!
