PESHAWAR: Professor Mohammad Ibrahim Khan has been re-elected chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter for a period of three years, the party announced. This will be his second consecutive term in office. Ibrahim was nominated as a candidate by the party’s shura in July along with Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and Maulana Mohammad Ismail. He reportedly secured the majority of the votes from party members. His re-election concludes the JI’s recent reorganisation in the province and tribal areas which included the appointment of new district chiefs.
