In a tweet on micro-blogging website Twitter on Wednesday, the Embassy said:
“We respect the Islamic tradition of help to the needy, but we can’t take Hafiz Saeed’s offer seriously.”
Earlier in 2012, the US put up a reward of $10 million for anyone who would provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of Hafiz Saeed. A subsequent tweet read:
"Saaed is wanted for suspected involvement in the Mumbai attacks, which killed 166. JuD is a UN&US-designated terrorist org."
On October 30, Saeed had offered financial and humanitarian assistance to the US as the hurricane wrought devastation on north America's east coast.
“I am following the teachings of Islam and have offered assistance to the people and government of United States because our religion teaches this ideology. Unlike the US government, we do not believe that only help those people, countries and governments where the US have vested interests.
"Jamaat-ud-Dawa is ready to send its volunteers, doctors, food, medicines and other relief items on humanitarian grounds if the US government allows us," Saeed said.
Talking about why the organisation was offering assistance to the US despite the $10 million bounty placed on him by them, he added, "America may have any opinion about us, it may fix bounties on our heads but as followers of the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), we feel it is our Islamic duty to help the needy and those in suffering, including Americans trapped in a catastrophe, without discriminating."
This offer is not only for the people of the United States but for nations of the world who have been suffering and inflicted from any natural disaster.
Saeed also mentioned his organisation’s offer for humanitarian assistance in the past. “We have even offered India in the past for any help we can offer because religion or any ideology are not the enemy but our enemy are all those who support barbarism and activities against humanity. Islam is for all nations. We have helped followers of Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism in the past without any discrimination and our aid activities in the past are proof of my offer to the US.”
Saeed added that the organisation did not classify people as terrorists because terrorists are never for helping and welfare of the people.
JuD workers have already started a campaign to gather volunteers for helping hurricane victims in the United States.

It is our national obligation,we should believe our honorable court judgement and court in this connection has delivered its judgement according to which it has been declared Hafiz Saeed is not terrorist,no documentary evident or other proof leading to prosecute him.
AS for as Indian allegation is concerned,they are depending on the statement of those who are under their custody.confessional statement is not acceptable under such circumstances. Such statements are taken by force through high handedness.
Government of Pakistan ,time and time again requested Indian authority for handing over the culprit to Pakistan but they refused to do so,it mean there are some contradiction in the material ralating to the matter.
No doubt,United States is single super power,it has vast resources it need no foreign aid and can deal hurrican sandy alone but some time foreign helping hand has become essential .

As regards,aid acceptance,India is a great hurdle in the way.United States don't want to lost such stooge/tool who come into action against opposers on its indication.
And India put Hafiz Saeed in the list of most wanted and demaned for Pakistan his submission to India, US state depart supporting the Indian stance so United States would never accept Hafiz Saeed's offer.

Why religion has to be dragged in everything from drones to sending relief materials to any suffering country..........why Islam has to be the center stage for each and everything........US do not send any aid or help at the time of natural disaster in Pakistan in the name of Christianity, neither do any other western countries.........It is time to rise above from religion and provide relief work and aid as one person giving to another person rather than Islam giving to .Christianity or Muslims giving to Christians..........

Maulana, US is not a 3rd world country like Pakistan. US can deal with natural disasters on its own. They don't have a shortage of workforce, expertise, supplies, medicine, food and money et cetera that they would need your help, its not like the end of the world there. Maybe spend the money on helping Pakistanis if you so wish to follow Islamic teachings which also say NOT to mock on somebody else's miseries.

If Hafeez Sayeed claims to follow the Islamic teachings condemning killings of people of other religions or nationalities naming India and USA then why did he plan and executed the killings of 166 innocent people in India which included Jews and Americans since his complicity in this henious crime against humanity has been proved in the evidence given by Kasab a Pakistani, two IM members deported from SA, Headley a naturalised Pak citizen, audio tapes etc ? If he rubbishes all evidence produced by India and US and then why did he not condemn the Mumbai carnage as barbaric act against humanity ? Why has he not condemned acts of barbarism and killing of thousand of innocent people by TTP against innocent civilians and soldiers in Pakistan ? As per his statement on barbarism against humanity, TTP should be the number one enemy of JuD who are acting against the teachings of Islam but no statement has been made against TTP so far by him. @S: Brother i know that but this money is used for Ideological reason as well and that is a dangerous trend. You cannot compare works of Edhi and JUD as Edhi and other like them have no religious ideology to promote with their work but JUD is doing otherwise. Also I was ashamed to see so many of my friends on facebook and on other social forums using this event to mock America and to laugh at their miseries. It is more like a Sarcasm that we could throw you some bones if you want to as we are Proud Self Righteous Muslims. When Americans send their Chinooks within Hours after Earthquake in Pakistan then they did not boast about that they are Christians so they are helping and they did not quoted Bible for their help and i remembered their efforts in Earthquake regions as I live near that region but Look at Hafz Sahib statement who brought religion into the discussion that we are Muslims so we will help you.

Millions of Pakistanis live below the poverty line and if Mullahs want to help then help those poor Pakistanis if you have so much money to brag about. I have been to America and what i have learnt that they have more dignity than us and they can give the aid but they know how to pull through disasters on their own rather than begging for aid like Pakistanis did in Kashmir and KPK earthquakes and in Flood disasters.. Infact it is not an offer of Aid but a mockery of human misery of our perceived Enemy and infact we dont know that we are enemies of our own self.
