Speaking in Okara, Sharif said PML-N has always struggled for upholding justice.
The PML-N has recently come under fire after the Supreme Court issued its verdict on the Asghar Khan case, declaring that the 1990 elections were rigged by the then intelligence and army chiefs.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had earlier announced that his party, which was one of the benefactors of the rigged 1990 elections, was ready to accept the Supreme Court’s ruling.
Sharif though alleged that President Asif Ali Zardari had also made a deal with Intelligence Bureau (IB) for his own political gains.

God bless you Nawaz sharif sb. I trust you.
This should be investigate on a high level commision.so that we came to know the real face of the people
Name of NS should be included in Guinness book of world record, he is the biggest beneficiary of 90's election but showing affect ignorance.
There seems to be complete silence on the role of Hamid Gul! He boldly claims responsibility for the formation of I.J.I.!
Yes because they are getting fooled by the world records these days. huh
@sabi
You made a blunder while comparing PPP and PML-N.
PPP bulldozed the economy and NS attacked the supreme court PPP reached the height of corruption and NS assisted PPP to achieve this goal
Alas, our nation will never learn a lesson from past mistakes.
@roadkashehzada, crime today or crime 22 years ago is same. NS has committed crime by damaging democracy. He has started trend of business in politics and used money to buy members. If he is sincere he should resign and give up.
Differnce between ppp and NS is, PPP buldozed the economy and NS built the economy. NS is not proven guilty by apex court but establishment.
Crocodile is about to shed some tears... Just wait a few more days
like when your goons attacked the supreme court?
@Ch. Allah Daad
Please accept the reality, your leader NS is not an angel and the wealth in his coffers is not hard earned money.
Friends, please think whose advantage it is to kick out NS from politics, lets figure out. 1) The corrupt alliance of four parties, 2) Establishment against which NS had emerged a strong voice and which played its cards wisely in this case, 3) PTI.
Other than PTI, everyone else played an evil role for this country in past. So, Please support a politician who held high moral grounds since 2008 and dont look back 22 years. No one will be perfect in that mirror, even PTI leaders.
There is no real evidence against Nawaz Sharif. The real evidence is against Javed Hashmi - let's start with him.
That all these politicians, without one exception, are bunch of crooks is beyond any reasonable doubt, I'm convinced and don't need to comment further. However, those passing such formal verdicts have also created more than enough doubts about their own character. Their moral standing is questionable in our common perception and we suspect their culpability also beyond reasonable doubts.
upon his return from exile, nawaz sharif has always been at higher moral grounds. supporting judiciary when the cause was almost lost, asking his MNAs to resign if they lose their moral stance and faced election in crucial and difficult NA 55 rawalpindi, leaving federal government on principles, allowing opposition parties including PTI and PPP to stage their activities in punjab wthout hindrance, getting neutral chief election commissioner etc..... and now u want him to leave politics on something happened 22 yrs back? we can tolerate PCO judges after they showed character, we can tolerate imran khan with all his past, why cant we give another chance to nawaz sharif?
It's easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled - Mark Twain
Mr. Sharif! Pakistanis demand that you deposit that money with interest in national exchequer after apologizing to the nation, and before going back to your Haram in KSA or UK.
Wondering what "The Bakery Boy" has to comment on your upholding Rule of law thing...
Shamless shareefs, they abused judiciary and were always happy to see PPP intje docks now their guilt has been proven in supreme court, they must be disqualified from fighting elections Allmthese years they have been attacking ZARDARI and on the end they stand convicted themselves
So What is new here?
We know that elections in PAK are and have been a fraud for as long as I can remember. Can anyone tell me when in the 60+ years of history did we have an honest election? Being reminded of the fraud in elections does not help much.
What we need to do is remove the corruption so deeply embedded in the PAK politics, judiciary, law enforcement, the military and the day-to-day lives of otherwise god-fearing ordinary citizens. Only then we will see honest elections.
I do not expect to see that happen in my lifetime. Corruption is culturally engrained in PAK peoples’ DNA. Perhaps I am cynical, but such cultural acceptance takes several generations to wipe out even if start today. But then for that we need a few leaders with foresight, which PAK is sorely lacking.
@Ch. Allahdaad: Even NS himsellf won't be that confident of himself :)
"Sharif though alleged that President Asif Ali Zardari had also made a deal with Intelligence Bureau (IB) for his own political gains." He's basically justifying his involvement here. Also completely admitting to doing it consciously rather than being caught up in some scheme that happened to benefit him as a side effect with the use of "had also made" in the statement. Typical "everybody else does it so I did too" line. Which is helpful if he was actually testifying against Zardari in such a case. Not so much when it comes to the legal end for him since they're two separate cases and "everybody else does it" isn't a valid defense.
kindly all be informed the money which durrani admitted was given was appointee as ambassador in germany by same ppp in return of this affidavit.
He should be ashamed of taking money and for fraudulent elections. He should publically apologize to nation. Yes people will not be fooled again.
@ch. Allahdaad: Brother, are you from mars?
nawaz sharif ..we want you to be banned from politics or take retirement from politics.
If you were not the net beneficiary of this IJI episode then come forward and prove it!! Otherwise face the music...! Your statement here is irrelevant really, considering it is the SCP that has concluded that the elections were rigged. So are you stating that SCP is orchastrating propaganda against you...? Am I missing something here Nawaz Jee...!?
Mian Sb. people of Pakistan cannot be fooled with your false propaganda... world has moved on since 90s...
@Ch. Allahdaad: Don't worry, you are still in the denial phase!
@Ch. Allahdaad: You are so blind my friend... just calculate his money before coming to power and after to power...
@ Allahdaad r u serious bro, NS and politics of principles ha ha, working with zia ul haq, taking money from isi, running away from country are some of his principles rite. I jst understood the prob lies with us, we r responsible for our pathetic condition no one to blame, we r nt ready to say dat rong is rong. Nt ready to try something new. Unless we will nt break away from the present status nothing will change..:(
"People of Pakisatn will not be fooled by false propaganda, said Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif" And this false propaganda is coming from your favorite independent SC of Pakistan not from any political party. What a shame that the criminals even after the SC's decision are behaving as if they are the angels and taken a bath in the holy Ganges!
What a joker!
Mr. Shareef:
I am at a lose here, are you suggesting that the recent verdict by the supreme court is malafid. As the the bases of the verdict revolve around wrong doing in creation, funding, and supporting IJI was illegal as it influenced the outcome of the election. If memory serves us right you were the key leader and instrumental in putting together that election alliance along with Jamat e Islami and a key beneficiary of the rigged election as you become the PM. even if we for second believe you did not get any money but the fact remain you were involve either directly or indirectly with the than military establishment and the president in influencing the outcome of the election and stealing peoples mandate and it amounts to fraud and also crime against the constitutional obligation.
I have Three simple questions for you to Answer:
According to the supreme court verdict the 1990 elections were rigged, do agree with the verdict? According to the supreme court verdict the IJI was a creation of Military establishment and was funded by them, were you the leader of the IJI? As outcome of the rigged and fraudulent process of 1990 election, Did you become the Prime Minister?Who is trying to fool people; SC? Mr. Sharif should be precise in his comments.
Yes people can not be fooled. He thinks it is propaganda. Is the Supreme Court of Pakistan a propaganda tool. At least he should respect the ruling, but no they do not have a tradition of accepting the court verdict. Instead they will go out of the country after a bargain, as all others do.
I am very firm sporter of Nawaz League. Nawaz bhai lead life of principle always. I am sure he never take any money from establishment. All his money come from hard-earn business. I am confidant that my party will defeat people who hatch malicious plans against them.
