Life imprisonment for Musharraf's attackers

Those sentenced in the case faced charges of plotting to hit the army house with explosives laden vehicles.

Rawalpindi's special anti terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to six accused in attempting a suicide attack on former President Pervez Musharraf.

Justice Raja Akhlaq of the special ATC announced the verdict in Adiala Jail where the proceedings of the case took place.

Meanwhile seven of the accused were released on poor evidence.

Those sentenced in the case faced charges of plotting to hit the army house with explosives laden vehicles. The accused found guilty were also fined Rs 250,000.
