ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sought a reply from government and Pakistan Standard & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) officials in response to a petition moved by PSQCA contract employees seeking regularisation for the past two years. IHC Chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman sought comments from the Science and Technology and Cabinet secretaries and the PSQCA director general within two weeks. Petitioners’ counsel claimed top PSQCA officials have adopted a discriminatory attitude towards contractual employees awaiting regularisation. He alleged that in 2012 alone, 38 illegal appointments were made, 27 of which have been illegally regularised by the PSQCA administration.
