Voters rights: Commission publishes final electoral list

People can verify their votes from their cell phones by sending their NIC numbers via SMS to 8300.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Election Commission (EC) has published the 2012 final electoral list for the upcoming general elections. Provincial EC SM Tariq Qadri said that the lists were displayed in district and agency offices for public viewing. Free of charge forms can be collected or downloaded from www.ecp.gov.pk for election inquiry till the issuance of election schedule. Qadri said the forms should be submitted to local offices along with the voter’s NIC. He further said that the process of corrections, registration and objections would continue till the final issuance of the election schedule. People can also verify their votes from their cell phones by sending their NIC numbers via SMS to 8300. People can also call their hotline, 091-9214137 for further guidance and information.
