‘Three Es’ plan: PML-N unveils ambitious plan to end energy crisis
Nawaz vows to make Pakistan one of top 10 world economies if voted to power.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Sunday unveiled a roadmap to drive the country out of the current crises in the three main sectors of energy, economy and education – the ‘three Es’ – including a pledge to make Pakistan one of the top 10 economies of the world.
Celebrating the country’s 65th independence day in advance, since PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia later this month, his party introduced a new logo at an event titled “We will change Pakistan” in which only the party’s top office-bearers from across the country participated.
Taking a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Nawaz termed slogans of changing the country within 90 days the ‘biggest lie of history’.
Without actually naming the PTI but referring to the party’s manifesto, the former prime minister warned the country’s youth against falling into the ‘trap of lies’ and urged them to support the PML-N — insisting that no one could end the country’s current crisis within 90 days.
Elaborating the new ‘three Es’ plan, he said that his party has completed its draft recommendations in the sectors of energy, education and economy which the PML-N would implement on the first day after coming into power.
Nawaz pledged to end load-shedding within two years if his party won the next general elections. He also vowed that he will make Pakistan one of the top 10 economies of the world, and said that in three years the state of education of the country would be equivalent to that of the developed world.
“I have prepared a package for industrialists and interest-free loans for youth which [we will offer] from the first day of [our] government across the country,” Sharif said.
He lauded the role of the judiciary and said Pakistan should stand proud since the “rule of law” was being exercised in the country. Lashing out at the incumbent government, he said that Pakistan has fallen prey to rampant corruption.
“Our country now remains energy starved and terrorised because of us and not others. Time has come to stand up and support PML-N’s manifesto and its strategies.”
The former prime minister said that the youth should not fall into the trap of lies and urged them to support the PML-N

I just hope whether its Nawaz or Imran that wins come election. Just for the love of God, rid Pakistan of the current incompetent government. Pakistan is on the verge of financial destruction and we might cross the point of no return if the power crisis and law&order situation isn’t resolved soon enough. Pakistan is neck-deep in debt and investors moving their assets abroad (due to electricity / law&order) situation isn’t a good sign either.
While the current leadership is too busy chanting their ‘sacrifices’ and martyrdoms, what Pakistanis need right now is a capable government that can resolve their biggest issues of sleepless-loadshedding-filled nights and the corruption as well as other issues mentioned above.

Every good step and research must be appreciated. I am happy that Punjab have a vibrant Opposition and Difference of Opinion in Democracy actually do wonders and PTI and PMLN are actually a blessing to Punjab in general as they both are striving against each other and brain storming and I am sure this will bring change in future. But it is my request to both PTI and PMLN that you both are In Opposition and your aim should be to change the government and PTI should try to align themselves with PMLN to bring the change in Politics so that we could get rid of PPP and its allied government. If PTI will be stubborn enough and their One Party bashing will not change then i am watching another PPP led government without any doubt and that will be a loss in general to Pakistan.

I’d like to see that plan. Not because it’s impossible for it to ever rank as such but because things have gotten so trashed that I can’t imagine a single term bringing that about. They could certainly lay down the foundations for it to head that way, though. Maybe that’s what they actually mean as well and I’m leaning a little in the wrong direction when it comes to the context. Nonetheless it’s more realistic than PTI’s claims.

Education is a slow process. There is no lateral admission to 2n., 3rd. or 4th year of college. Increase in Enrolemnt starts in 1st. year. Then there are drop outs. We must also realize, there is acute shortage of teachers.

Energy: After 18th ammendment, province has authority to generate energy. Did Punjab Govt do anything about it? No, not a single MW was added to the energy.
Education: Failed projects like Danish schools which covers only 6-10K of children of punjab for education. What about rest of the 6 Lach unschooled children?.The unschooled children pool remained same, Govt schools in punjab further degraded.
Economy: Have you controlled the prices of things in Lahore? The prices are the seller prices not the govt prices? I am talking only of Lahore not of Punjab. You failed to do so and now, you are telling us you will solve whole economy of Pakistan?
PML-N’s vision would have sound fantastic if they were not enjoying their government in 60% of Pakistan i.e. Punjab but since now they have enjoyed and failed miserably to prove any of their effectiveness to contribue to 3 E’s. It’s high time to say bye bye to PML N…
We want change. PTI’s energy and local body government is execellent which will directly impact the 2 E’s (Energy and Education) if not the 3 E’s. Econonmy will automatically get better if a person like Imran rules Pakistan.

PML-N has delivered in the past and will deliver now. He has mentioned that the energy crisis would be solved in two years but has not specified any target for education and the economy. When will Pakistan achieve 100 percent literacy and become an Asian Tiger?
People now wish to know the details of plans and how they would be implemented as it is known to every Pakistani that political parties forget their manifestos after winning the election. The PML-N has been ruling 62 percent of the Pakistani population and its performance in the field of education, energy and the economy has been pathetic.
After the 18th amendment, provinces have been empowered to generate electricity; why so far not a single hydel project? Which power projects does the PML-N wish to implement to overcome the energy crisis? How will theft of electricity and line losses be controlled? The PML-N should also know that the new young voters want employment. The PML-N is already aware of the threat that the PTI poses in the upcoming elections and therefore should come up with a more impressive manifesto.
