Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) President Vilasrao Deshmukh said that the decision to ban Shah Rukh Khan from entering Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium for five years has been conveyed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and it should consider it, according to the Times of India. “Where is the question of [BCCI questioning] the validity of [MCA decision],” said Deshmukh. “BCCI is our parent body. It has its own set of rules. IPL is their brainchild. We have merely rented out our ground to them. We have reported our decision to BCCI. Now let them consider it. How can I comment before that?” MCA’s decision followed a brawl at Wankhede on May 16 after an IPL game, where Shah Rukh allegedly manhandled a security personnel.
