Cricket: Hasan wants match-fee increase

Says that if the PCB improves domestic cricket’s daily match-fee, the standard of the game will improve.

ISLAMABAD: Young left-arm spinner Raza Hasan said that if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) improves domestic cricket’s daily match-fee, the standard of the game will improve in the country. Hasan, who has taken 60 first-class wickets at an average of 27.4, said that match-fee in the region of Rs30,000 to Rs40,000, then a player will not go abroad. “We are not paid much that is why players go to England to earn money,” said Hasan. He also insisted that PCB should also select young players for tours against weaker teams in order to give them international exposure.
