School education: 200,000 enrollments in May

EDO (Education) Sohaib Imran said 1,221 schools had been selected for the Universal Secondary Education Campaign.

FAISALABAD: At least 200,000 children (in age group four to nine years) will be enrolled in schools in the district in a campaign this month. EDO (Education) Sohaib Imran said 1,221 schools had been selected for the Universal Secondary Education Campaign. He said the heads of these institutes and more than 10,000 teachers were directed to prepare lists of out-of-school children in their areas. The EDO said district officers, deputy district officers and assistant officers of the Education Department would ensure that the target of 200,000 enrolments would be met by May 31. He said progress reports would be sent to the district coordination officer everyday.
