KARACHI: Pakistan’s kabaddi team leaves for Iran today to prepare for the upcoming Asian Beach Games that take place from June 16. The team will also attend the joint training camp with Iran. According to the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Secretary Muhammad Sarwar, a second-string has been sent instead of the national players. “We are not sending our main team because we don’t want to expose our strength before the Games so our backup players are going,” Sarwar told The Express Tribune. The secretary said that the tour will provide the young players an excellent opportunity. “We will do video analysis of practice matches after the tour for better preparation.” Imran Sandu has been named captain while Mohammad Sharif will travel as coach.
