KARACHI:

The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) has called for a peaceful strike in Sindh on Saturday and rejected the findings of the chemical analysis report by a medical committee investigating the cause of death of JSQM leader Bashir Khan Qureshi.

Dr Niaz Kalani, the party’s senior vice chairperson, secretary general Asif Baladi and other party leaders held a press conference. “We have not been informed about the report yet,” Kalani said on Thursday. “We are informed through our friends in the media that phosphorus was found and Qureshi also had a cardiac problem. The reality is being concealed.”

Kalani said that the late JSQM leader did not have cardiac issues or a problem with his blood pressure, and stuck to the party’s claim that he was deliberately poisoned.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has also called for international experts to investigate the cause of Qureshi’s death.
