KARACHI: Two men and a boy were killed in apparent acts of target killing late on Tuesday night.

According to details, unidentified armed men opened fire at people sitting at a tea shop on Pahar Ganj, North Nazimabad. As a result five people were critically injured.

The injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed hospital where doctors said Saleh Dost, his son Matiullah, and another man identified as Abbas died even as emergency medical staff tried to administer treatment. Dost's other son Bilal, and an unidentified man were receiving treatment for their injuries.

SP Tanveer Alam Odho confirmed the incident. While he termed these as target killings, the officer said initial investigations revealed that the attack was due to some personal enmity that Dost’s family harboured.

Meanwhile, the Awami National Party has claimed that the victims were party supporters.

Taking note of the incidents, Sindh Home Minister has ordered DIG West to present a report of the incident and to arrest those behind the attack.
