FAISALABAD:

Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) scientific officer Muhammad Arshad committed suicide by swallowing poison over alleged mistreatment by a PARC director.

His family said that PARC Director Arshad Chaudhary had reprimanded Arshad on Friday after which he swallowed poison. He fainted and was taken to Allied Hospital where he expired on Saturday morning. Arshad, 45, had been working in PARC for 15 years.

The family said that Arshad had suffered from stress because the PARC director would use harsh language with him and give him more work than he could manage. Doctors treating him said they found a letter in his pocket that said, “I am committing suicide due to the PARC Director’s harsh attitude towards me. He would regularly insult me in front of other staff members.”

PARC Director Arshad said that the matter had been referred to the PARC Chairman. He said the allegations against him were false.

In my opinion Judicial inquiry becomes madatory. This should have been completed within just fifty days by First Suspending the indicted so called director( Arshed Ch.) In Punjab and nowadays most of the people do behave like Pharon. They have inbuilt genes of Rude, misbehaved with subordinates and characterless persons. Such persons must be treated like criminals and Target Killers after judicial probe and verdict by the court of law.
