QUETTA: With suspected difference of opinion on resolving the Balochistan crises, senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Haji Lashkari Raisani on Tuesday tendered his resignation from the Senate.
Sources close to Raisani while confirming his resignation, said there were differences between him and some provincial leaders of the party. These differences were also the reason behind his resignation from the post of PPP Provincial President in 2010.
“Yes I tendered my resignation to Chairman Senate and will disclose the reasons behind my resignation in a few days,” the former provincial president PPP said.
According to sources, Raisani, who is also Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani’s younger brother, was not satisfied with the central leadership's handling of issues pertaining to Balochistan, claiming the government had mishandled it.
He had sidelined himself from party activities for the past many months and had been issuing public statements accusing Federal Ministers, including Interior Minister Rehman Malik, for polluting the political environment in Balochistan.

Pointing out to other crimes will not make your crime bit less. Stop burying your head in the ground - deep down all of you know @Tim's referendum answer. When you and your leaders cannot solve the Balochistan issue then why plunder the Baloch population. Isnt it enough, dont you guys feel sorry for humans living there with no forseeable future.
Remeber this Pakistan is not a super power like America or does not have support of super power in case of Isreal - so be careful of illegally occupying a land. This can get messy and can spill out to your door.
Have not come across any thing controversial or allegations on Haji Lashkari Raisani and his elder borther Aslam Raisani. I hope he comes out clean when he puts forward his reasons. His brother Siraj is known as extortionist in Quetta though.
As much as I know and heard Lashkari, he has always used political forums available in this country to protest and speak his mind on Balochistan.
Let us just hope Lashkari is not alienated from the mainstream like many other dissident Baloch due to mishandling of the all powerful Civil & Miliatry leadership and Gross Criminal Neglect of Balochistan during last six decades.
Resigning when only a few months are left for his tenure at the Senate. What a stunt. I hope he doesn't join PTI. He will pollute it.
Now the PPP government is going to complete its term, few months before he resigned the post of the president of Balochistan. What about at the bigning he was enjoying when the issue of missing persons and their extra judicially killings and operation in Baochistan till to date is goning on. Good politics playing with the people of balochistan.
To Tim, It's about time the territory of Hawaii and majority of the US states should be returned to the original people and end this oppression of hundreds of years.

Its time a referendum is held in Balochistan to solve this problem once and for all. We can't let Pakistan kill Baloch people unabatedly in the name of internal matter. The world community must start asking these questions.
