The department has forecasted that the temperature may go down to five degrees Celsius in Karachi. The Karachi Met Office says that the city will also have cold and dry weather during the next 24 hours.
It had earlier been reported that three people were found dead due to the cold weather in the city. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s records, the lowest recorded temperature in Karachi for February was three degrees Celsius recorded on February 11, 1950.
Cold weather spells continued in parts of upper Balochistan, with the mercury dropping to -10 degrees Celsius in Quetta and -16 degrees Celsius in Ziarat. The temperature has also gone down below the freezing point in Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Mastung, Kan Mehtarzai and Kalat after snowfall in the mountains.
Parts of Punjab and Sindh are also expected to experience cold and dry weather during the next 24 hours.

feeling wintery weather, its good to have cold for a while - and it will pass away ' like the winter winds' said Shaheed Bhutto at the defeat/ban on hockey players in 1972 Munich hockey Olympic games.
Though my father opted Karachi to live here but I am seriously planning to permanently move to Malaysia as it is near equator and there is no cold weather in Malaysia.
I cannot bear the cold wave of Karachi as it always come from Quetta.
Why don't the cold wave of Quetta go some where else?
