Gunned Down: PAC and PPP men shot dead

The Soldier Bazaar police said that 27-year-old Faizan was shot dead on Nishtar Road.

An activist from the banned Peoples Amn Committee and a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker were gunned down separately on Saturday.


The Soldier Bazaar police said that 27-year-old Faizan was shot dead on Nishtar Road. He was with a friend when two men on a motorcycle started firing at him. He was hit in the head twice and had to be taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi. SHO Khushnood Javed said that Faizan was a security guard from Punjab and was an active member of PPP PS-117. Faizan was on duty when it happened.

The body of a man identified as 25-year-old Khalid alias Lamba was found in Karim Bux Para, Shanti Nagar, said the Aziz Bhatti police. They said that he lived in Dalmia and his family lived in Hub. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. SHO Kenson Dean said that Khalid was shot thrice. The police also found empty shells at the scene which suggest that he was killed at the spot. According to a source in the police, Khalid was associated with the Peoples Amn Committee and was hiding in Dalmia.
