KARACHI: Our alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party is not based on political or economic gain, said the chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), Dr Paul Bhatti.

“The PPP has always supported minority rights in the country.” He added that remembering Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on his 84th birthday was their way of thanking him for his contribution to democracy. While speaking at a press conference on Friday, MPA Saleem Khokar said that the statements made by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s chief were a conspiracy against democracy.

MPA Pitanbar Sewani, MPA Jaffer George and MPA Tahir Naveed Chaudhry were also there.
