Christmas: Optional holiday for Christians on Dec 26

National Harmony Minister says festivals of minorities are celebrated officially by govt to follow ethical values.

ISLAMABAD: National Harmony Minister Akram Gill has succeeded in getting the approval of an optional holiday for the Christian community on the day after Christmas (December 26). 

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the minister said that national harmony was the need of hour. He said the festivals of minorities are celebrated officially by the government to follow the true ethical values and in this regard, the upcoming festival of Christmas will also be celebrated at higher level.

Dear sir, thanks and regards for your compliment about christan in tribune the news paper i want to just ask something that where you apporove the holiday for goverment employees so you can just recomend the private firms i am private employee and working in DHA lahore so kindly you just give the permission today please
