Landmine blast injured one security personnel in Kurram Agency

KURRAM: One security personnel sustained injuries on Friday as an advancing contingent of security forces stepped on a landmine in the Talai area of the Central Kurram Agency.

Local activists and Taliban militants have been active in the province and have been blamed for such violence in the past.

Earlier, a Frontier Corps (FC) officer was killed when a landmine had exploded near the Sorange coal mines, in the suburbs of Quetta.

The government needs to spend less on the regular army and more on the paramilitaries since they seem to be the ones doing the real fighting
