LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s chief Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said he would deliver part of the arguments in the Supreme Court over the memogate issue.

Besides the Supreme Court, Nawaz said, he would speak on the issue outside the court, and at public gatherings as well.

All faces behind this memo conspiracy should be unmasked, the PML-N chief said, addressing a ceremony at the Alhamra Hall. “I don’t have any personal agenda behind the writ petition over the memo issue,” Nawaz said, adding, “we just want to disclose all hidden faces.”

Placing Haqqani on ECL

Meanwhile, Sharif filed a petition in the Supreme Court to place former ambassador to US Husain Haqqani on the Exit Control List (ECL). Senior lawyer and former Supreme Court Judge Fakhruddin G Ebrahim filed the petition on Nawaz’s behalf.

The petitioner said they feared that Haqqani would either fly out of the country, or be forced to leave, because of the judicial proceedings against him.

Earlier on Wednesday, Nawaz filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court, seeking a probe into the memogate scandal.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, ISI chief Shuja Pasha, ambassador Haqqani, Mansoor Ijaz, the foreign secretary and the federation have been made parties to the case in the petition.

Do not testify, you may have to answer for Shahbaz Sharif, who in 1999 did the same thing,by approaching a senior official of Clinton Administration, requesting him to issue a statement warning Pak Army not to topple the Government of NS,and they obliged.A warning came from the Clinton.

Where did Hasan Sharif get the money to start the property business in London, that is allegedly worth 1.2bn dollars today?

This was asked by kashif abbasi, not PTI, in his interview to ch.nisar last week. Ch.Nisar acknowledged that kashif and the public have a right to know and that he would get back with answers in the shortest time possible. This was about 10 days ago and its on record.

So its not only PTI who are making the allegations…..lets see what ch.nisar comes back with…..

    Sir,
    1. When someone has to proclaim he doesn’t have a personal agenda, he definitely has one.
    2. You made a deal, leaving behind your comrades with 40 suitcases. I’m not sure about others, but if a general deserts his soldiers behind, he loses the claim of righteousness later on.

What a joke. According to article 48 of the constitution of pakistan, president zardari has got full immunity & therefore any petition against him is useless. Basically Nawaz shareef is giving time to his statusquo brother & taking pressure off him.
Did not nawaz shareef send shahbaz shareef to america in 1998 to ask for bill clinton help against army intervention. shahbaz shareef has confirmed it in his book on page 132. Topi Drama.

All policies of nawaz are motivated by his enmity against the persons. He may be wanting to settle his score against HH for deserting his camp and joining PPP’s. Moreover, how can he criticise asking the american administration to forewarn army against alleged overtake when he himself was cowering from a threatend military take-overr by general musharraf and did the very same thing as this ‘memo’ intended to do. You did manage to secure a u.s. warning againt any threatened military takeover but general Musharraf was bold enough to ignore such american forewarning and he did transfer corps commander tariq parvez from quetta which ultimately ended in musharraf’s coup.
Nawaz politics is doomed to failure. Instead, he should merge his league with APML and work under the leadership of general parvez musharraf.

If yellow cab scheme is the brightest economic idea of our political elite to date…we should be worried about re-electing them. I sometimes wonder if Mr. Sartaj Aziz has any say in these ideas but I guess from I have read in his own book…Mr. Nawaz Sharif is not the most attentive person when it comes to hearing valuable suggestions

That is a good scheme, and even if it was a failure previously, it doesn’t mean that scheme had problems. With a better management, it can surely be very healthy for the lower class and lower middle class.
Well, if you criticizing for the sake for criticism, then May Allah help you!
PTI supporters, keep on, I am you might win 3013 election, and 3013 is not a mistake! I would still be impressed!

You have provided an exit to HH. BBM messages may not be admissible evidence in court. You have no evidence that HH signed or wrote the memo. HH unfortunately because of this petition may get away scot free.

Nawaz Shariff and PML-N can only dream about comming back to power. They are history. They will win few seats but that is it. Time to move on…..the people want change they can trust…PTI
