Missing her Target: Woman accidentally shoots son

Woman opened fire at her husband Iftikhar Ali but the bullet hit their son Ali Akhtar.

MULTAN: A seven-year-old boy was allegedly shot by his mother at Basti Bagh Hussain in the Seetalmarri police station precincts on Wednesday.  According to police officials, Basti Bagh Hussain resident Iftikhar Ali had been arguing with his wife when the incident occurred. Neighbors told police that the couple had been arguing on Tuesday night and Ali’s wife tried to shoot him while he was asleep later on.  Police officials said the woman opened fire at Iftikhar Ali but the bullet hit their son Ali Akhtar.  Seetalmarri police took the body into custody and shifted it to Nishtar Hospital for an autopsy.  Police officials registered a case on the application of Iftikhar Ali and have begun searching for the accused.
