Unrequited love: Youth shoots girl, then himself

FAISALABAD:

A student committed suicide after shooting a young woman in the Sammundri police station on Wednesday morning. The young woman is in the hospital.

According to the police officials, third year student Mehnaz Parveen was going to her college when she was shot by Adil, 23. Parveen’s parents told police officials that she had been receiving prank calls for several months and had been stalked by Adil.

“She told me about it and I told the boy never to call her again or I would inform the police. The calls stopped but then he began stalking her,” Parveen’s father Abdul Shaqoor said.

Eyewitnesses said that Adil shot Parveen outside her college in the presence of a large crowd.

“No one was expecting anything so we weren’t even prepared to catch him. He shot her and immediately after shot him self by firing a bullet into his mouth,” eyewitness Sadiq said.

Parveen was immediately rushed to the hospital and her condition is reportedly critical. “She has a bullet wound to the neck and arm. We have removed the bullet and are doing everything we can but she is in critical condition,” said Allied Hospital Dr Qasim.

Parveen’s friend and class mate Nina told police that she had rejected Adil’s advances for over a year. “He has been stalking her for a long time and said that he was in love but she kept turning him down.

She stopped taking his calls and then he got desperate,” she said.

Adil and Parveen both lived in the same village in Chak No 388 GB and police officials have registered the case. “We are investigating the incident further but so far it seems like he killed her and himself because she had rejected him. His parents told us they knew nothing of the incident,” said a SHO Masoon Nazir.

Police have sent the body of the accused to Allied Hospital for an autopsy. “We are just praying that she wakes up and that she has not died because of this mad man,” said Parveen’s mother Ameena Bibi.

He needs to have a gag order placed on him so he doesn't go off running his mouth to the media, which incidentally doesn't seem to have enough common sense to NOT print incorrect statements. Job well done, ET! Best wishes to the family and to her full recovery (InshaAllah).

@XZY If you know even a little bit about MAKKH AND MEDINA, they are not cities like urs and ours, they are pretty much like cities which is occupied most of the time by tourists and traveller and they dont live their for long, and if u have little knowledge about any thing then u must have know that only Muslims are allowed to go into MAkkah, and it is totally illegal for a Muslims to even kill an insect or bird within the boundaries of MAkkah what to talk about killing a human being within that boundries and if u have at all any knowledge about the Languages , then u shud know that by saying "All over the world" means these type of stories can be found in every nation, race or country, not every city of the world. So i think you need to improve ur knowledge specially Ur IQ level if u cud which seems almost impossible....
