KARACHI:

The Pakistan Education Leadership (PELI) experience has opened new windows of learning and understanding for me, said Reform Support Unit Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Zahid Hussain Jatoi at a conference on Friday.

“Through this programme, I have learnt that teaching and learning is not limited to the four walls of a classroom.” Zahid was one of the 40 teachers who participated in the four week PELI project for Pakistani teachers in the United States.

So far, 200 teachers have participated in this project from all over the country. Baela Raza Jamil of the Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi said that in order for the country to move forward we should try to solve the problems in the education sector.

Pakistan-US Alumni Network President Fauzia Siddiqi said that it was important to continue and encourage such programme because they would help bridge the gap between the two countries. Press release
