Awards Ceremony: Corps commander hands out prizes

MULTAN: The Corps Commander Multan Lt. Gen Shafqaat Ahmed addressed a ceremony of students of army public schools and colleges on Friday. The corps commander distributed medals and prizes among top students and said that education was the key to eliminating extremism. “More education means less fanaticism,” he said. The corps commander appreciated the efforts and contributions of teachers and said that schooling should focus on more than rote learning and exams. “We need to encourage logical thinking and pragmatism at this critical juncture of uor nations history,” he added. The corps commander also handed out certificates and award shields among teachers for their untiring efforts.
