Government sacks DAG Lahore

The federal government sacked the DAG Lahore.

The federal government sacked Aamir Rehman, Deputy Attorney General (DAG) of Lahore on Monday.

While speaking to Express, Rehman confirmed receiving the notification relieving him of his duty. However, he does not know the reason why he has been sacked.

Rehman was appointed as deputy attorney general of Lahore in June 2008. Being the senior most officer in the Law and Justice Department, Rehman said that he had been assigned by former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor to look after the department.

Sources said that there is a possibility that Aamir Rehman’s removal was an internal conflict, as he was appointed by former attorney general, Latif Khosa.

Rehman, however, did not have affiliations with the People Lawyer’s Forum which supports the Federal Law Minister, Babar Awan.

I think Mr. Babar Awan and his patrons will have to sack the whole populace of this country. They can not tolerate opposition and the whole country is becoming their opposition now. And quite rapidly too. For now have another sack!!!Recommend

I just had to add to this article. A little snippet from the dawn.

“Rehman was sacked because he did not go to the airport to receive Awan and he also would not go to gatherings in which the minister would invite him, sources claimed.”
